Model for Mommy

Mommy is ready for summer! I finally finished sewing Shelby's first summer outfit. I had her try it on this morning so I could be sure it fit her perfectly. When I went to take it off, she went crazy on me! Mad as I'll get out! She is quite the "drama queen" when it comes to jewelry, clothes, and shoes! I've never seen a girl get so emotional about her wardrobe.
Doesn't she make a great model though?!

A Sight to See

The kids and I went the park earlier today. Shelby and I strolled through the park while Will rode his bike. It was a peaceful time. I got a few pictures of them playing on the playground.

Shelby seems to be doing better. She is slowly recovering from bronchitis. She's had a rough 7 days of it. It was nice getting out of the house for a change!

After soccer practice the four of us headed to QR. As you can see, there is some major excavating going on over there! There are mountains and mountains of rocks. A lot of dirt being moved around too! Will and Shelby had fun exploring today. Who knew they would have so many mountains to climb or rocks to throw! Our excavating crew has a little more cutting away to do. Hopefully they'll wrap it up tomorrow as weather forecasters are calling for lots and lots of rain on Saturday. We're hoping to have our foundation poured in a few weeks.

Est. in 1968

It was 42 years ago that you married. Had it not been for the two of you, I would not be here today. So I want to say, thank you Mom and Dad for all you have done. Thank you for raising a beautiful family. I am proud to call you my parents. There aren't enough words to express how much I love you.

Dad, not a day goes by I do not think of you. I have many fond memories of you. I will never forget your smile, or the way you laughed.
Your laughter was contagious! You always knew how to make me laugh, even when I was having a bad day. You were the best son, husband, father, grandfather, and friend! You will always be in my heart. I look forward to seeing you again someday.

Happy Anniversary Mom and Dad!

Let the Fun Begin!

A mommy must brag about her children. I would not be a good mom if I didn't tell you how proud I am of our son, Will. We are planning to enroll him in kindergarten in the fall. The elementary school, which he will attend, performed screening tests for children planning to enroll in kindergarten. Will did an excellent job (just as we expected). We always thought Will to be smart. He scored 229/109+. I guess you could say he's well above average! Way to go Will! We are so proud of you!!

We are also excited to say our builder began moving dirt this week. Hooray!! So far, we have a driveway. We went out there this evening to take a few pictures. It's definitely the most peaceful place ever! Definitely the most beautiful too!

A Little Girl Fun

Shelby always joins me in the bathroom when I am getting ready. She will stand at my feet, pull on my leg, and shout, "Mommy do, Mommy do!" In other words, put me on the counter so I can do what you're doing! She got into my makeup today and started putting it on her face. This time no pretending! She looked so darn cute. After she realized what she had done, she looked at me and said, "Doody, doody".

She is cute and boy does she know it!

Who knew a bracelet could be so much fun!

Loving my jewelry! This girl is going to cost me a fortune!

The Beach

The kids and I are on spring break this week visiting my sister in Viriginia. My sister (Kim) and nephew (Austin) came along too. We made two day trips to Viriginia Beach. The weather was fabulous, topping 90+ degrees. The water was frEEzing, but that didn't stop Will and Austin from playing in the water. Everyone had a great time!
Shelby is such a great helper. Here she is
rubbing sunscreen on my shoulders and back.
Sweet girl kissses!
Now that's one beach boy... hair gone wild!
Should we stay or should we go??
