Alike in So Many Ways

When I was pregnant with Will, I came across a cute sailor outfit. It was one of my favorites! After I got pregnant with our second child, Shelby, I decided to downsize on Will's baby clothes. I did keep some outfits for sentimental reasons. His sailor outfit was one of them. Will wore it for his one year old birthday pictures, and I wanted so badly for Shelby to wear it too. It was put away and things were so crazy over the summer that I completely forgot about it. Needless to say, Shelby had outgrown it by the time I got around to putting it on her. She's growing too fast! I did get some pictures of her wearing it and thought I would let you see how much she and Will look alike or don't!

Will and Shelby have the sweetest personalities. They enjoy spending time together and are always wondering what the other one is doing. You'd almost think they were twins! One day Will was playing his Nintendo DS and Shelby climbed up in the chair and sat down right beside him. Well, it was too cute. Daddy had to get a picture! Get a look for yourself.

Aren't these the sweetest pictures ever!!?? And the cutest kids ever!!??

Will's First Day of School

It's been pretty busy around here! I am just now getting around to posting pictures of Will on his first day of 4 year old preschool. He is so excited about school and looks forward to going three days a week! I hope this year goes by really slow. I will not be ready for him to start kindergarten next year. He is becoming such a big boy and Mommy wants him to stay little forever!

He's so excited to be at the golf course.

Enjoying a great view of the course.

Hilton Head Part 1 - The Beach

Our family went on a wonderful vacation to Hilton Head, South Carolina last week. Our rental house was amazing (thanks to Nana and Papa), the beach was beautiful, and time spent with family was more than perfect! The kids had a fun time playing at the beach, the ladies had a wonderful time shopping, and the men played golf at Harbor Town Golf Links (home of the Verizon Heritage Tournament, PGA Tour). It doesn't get any better than that!

There are several pictures from the week so I'll be creating more than one post. Enjoy!

Our Soccer Player

Will is playing soccer this year and it's his first time playing. He's playing for BYSA (Bluegrass Youth Soccer Association). It's going to be a fun and busy time for all of us! He has one practice and two games per week! That's a lot for a four year old. We are looking forward to a great season and think he is going to have a great time playing the game!

Go get 'em tiger!

Will's first time trying on his new soccer gear!!
I even got the soccer goal out so he could get a little practice.

Doesn't he look great in his uniform??!!

One Last Look

This week has been somewhat emotional for me. I thought leaving our home behind would not be hard, but I was wrong! I guess I thought that because our previous house was just one mile down the road. I passed that house at least 5 times a week, and not once did I ever think twice about leaving it.

Times have obviously changed! Our lives are much different with two children ,whereas before we did not have any. This was Will and Shelby's first home! I remember bringing each of them here for the first time. So many happy memories to think about!

I am also sad to be leaving our good friends. We have built many friendships over the last several years. We are definitely going to miss you all! We will stay in touch with you and hope you will do that same!

Be on the lookout!! Sometime in the next week I'll be taking a walk down memory lane and sharing some favorite photos taken over the last several years. TTFN!
