Jesus Paid It All

I hear the Savior say,
"Thy strength indeed is small,
Child of weakness, watch and pray,
Find in Me thine all in all."

Jesus paid it all
All to Him I owe
Sin had left a crimson stain
He washed it white as snow

Lord, now indeed I find
Thy power and Thine alone
Can change the leper's spots
And melt the heart of stone

And when before the throne
I stand in Him complete
Jesus died my soul to save
My lips shall still repeat

Oh, praise the one who paid my debt
And raised this life up from the dead

Happy Easter!

Spring Break Fun

For spring break, the kids and I took a mini vacation with Aunt Heather, Coleman, and Keenan. We went to Sevierville , TN and stayed at The Wilderness for a couple of nights. The kids had the best time ever! They are a rowdy bunch! Lots of swimming for the kids and shopping for us moms. We all had a great time and hated to go home.

Spring is in the Air

We've been doing some yard work over the last few weeks. We had someone come and sew more grass. We landscaped the front of the house with about 25 scrubs. Although it was a lot of work, we enjoyed seeing the finished product.

Our next agenda was to have part of our very old Kentucky stone rock fence re-worked. If you asked us a month ago, we would have said take it down and haul it away! It's condition was an eye sore and the cost of having it repaired would not be cheap. Blake and I don't have a bit of experience to repair one ourselves. Fortunately, our neighbor has a family friend that does all types masonry work. They have experience with repairing old rock fences. After seeing the results on our neighbors fence, we were convinced ours needed to be done as well. We were only able to fix a portion of ours due to our driveway being paved this summer. We thought it would be in our best interest to have them come back after the driveway has been paved. That way nothing gets knocked down!

Here is what they were able to do. I wish I had a before picture. Once the driveway is done,it will curve along the entrance to our drive. It's so nice to have a part of history in your very own yard!

The best part about living in the country is being able to enjoy the sounds of nature. It's so quiet. I don't miss the noisy cars racing behind the back of our old house or someone laying on the horn as they drove by us. QR is quite the place to be! We really get to enjoy the birds, crickets, and frogs! We've even had the pleasure of finding ticks on the kids! Not something I get excited about, but it's part of the outdoor experience. That just means baths every night, all summer long!

It's been a very long time since I've made a wreath. I thought our font porch needed something spring-like. So Shelby and I made a trip to buy all the necessary items to make our own wreath. I don't have a lot of experience making wreaths, but thought I would give it a whirl.

Happy Birthday Pepaw

Dad would have turned 68 yesterday. This is the hardest time of year for all of us. The entire family visits his grave site to celebrate his birthday. We clean up his grave and plant new flowers.

Dad's favorite time of year was summer. He enjoyed working outside and spending time at the pool. I believe his favorite place to be was at the beach though! Now I know who I get that from! I could live at the beach!

In 6 weeks, it will be 6 years since Dad passed away.

Rest in peace Pepaw! We love and miss you very much!
